Attached please find English Version of notifications issued by Turkish Government about the Textile Tax recently.
It is related to additional duty (safe guard) notifying that additional tax will be applicable from 23/7 (textile imports by Turkey) in accordance with earlier Gazette of 24/3 issuance with addition of some clauses.
The additional tax will be recovered from 23/7/2011 through collateral from the importer until the inspection / investigation is completed on / before 9 months time from the initial Gazette date.
The additional tax will however not to be applicable on the import of fabric which is imported by the importer who is processing the same and re-exporting in the form of garment against proper paper work.
