full and final settlement

I have received your letter dated 1^st Sept. 2008 regarding some dues of my former staff, ---------.

I have checked his file and found out that he had already collected ------------------ as full and final settlement of his dues with the company through our Head of Admin Department, ------------ on 18^th Dec. 07 duly acknowledged by him. It’s a closed case as per our record, I wonder why he is now contacting after 8-9 months.
