Proposal for conducting Energy Audit
Reference to
the visit of CEO Wellbeinggreen and Sales Coordinator at your site on August 9, 2011 for the site assessment
of your factory. I would like to present the IR thermal Imaging Report of the
site which is derived from the customize software of FLUKETi10 IR imaging
camera.
Considering the
situation, I would like to draws your attention toward the Energy auditing of
your site. An Energy Audit is an analysis of energy consumption for energy
conservation in a system. Most of the time, the amount of energy consumed by the
system is more than actually required for it. Use of old equipment and motors,
Power factor issues, under sizing / over sizing of wire and overheating of
equipment are the major causes of energy losses in the
system.
Energy Audit
identifies opportunities and provides recommendations for energy and cost
savings. Recommendations can range from improved energy management, load
management to appropriate energy-saving technologies and structural
improvements. It also recommends predictive and preventive maintenance of the
electrical infrastructure and mechanical machines to reduce the chances of any
future mishap.
We
would like to recommend you the Preliminary Energy Audit for the
site.
Preliminary Energy Auditing
includes:
o
Description of Predictive and Preventive measure
for electrical distribution network to avoid phase unbalancing and any future
mishap
o
Provision of an itemized and prioritized list of
recommendations to reduce energy consumption
o
Description of technology if needed to be
implemented.
o
Analysis of 24 months bills
o
Preparation of monthly or seasonal energy
consumption profiles
o
IR thermal Imaging Report(detailed report of major
problematic areas)
o
Measurement of light levels(according to
requirement of job description/area)
o
Detailing of key equipments
On
submitting the report of Preliminary energy audit, you will be able to discover
sources of energy waste and apply energy efficiency measures to different types
of systems employed at your site. This energy audit will save almost 5% to 7% of
energy. If the recommended measures are done with proper load management and
equipment replacement the energy saving can be up to 15%-20%.
The overall
benefits you get of conducting energy audits are:
·
Financial: By reducing expenditure on energy,
maintenance cost and savings.
·
Operational: By optimizing the operation of system
or a process.
During
the initial energy assessment we found that the site is facing serious energy
efficiency issues which is causing high energy consumption at your site.
According to information gathered during the visit, the site has an energy
consumption of approximately 55 KW and the major part of energy consumption is
due to the motors. We suggest that much energy can be saved if the load on the
motor is properly managed and variable frequency drives are used with it. A
considerable amount of energy will be saved if the sizing of motors and wiring
are checked. A randomly checked IR image IR000017.IS2 shows that the wiring is
overheated and cause any major mishap in future.
Currently
the site is utilizing 2 gas GENSET on 70% for the entire load. We recommend that
if Energy audit is done with appropriate energy efficiency measures, the energy
consumption can be reduced and load can be achieved by using only one GENSET on
90 %.This step will result in increase efficiency of gas GENSET and decrease
fuel consumption.
Wellbeinggreen
is keen to cooperate with you, however we will be requiring your assistance in
gathering data from the site these includes, at least two years of all types of
energy bills, Building fabric, Details of Equipments, processes and types of
energy used. I have also attached the Energy Audit flyer for your
consideration.
If
you want to proceed with this offer please do not hesitate to discuss it with
me.
Looking
forward to a positive reply.
